New Zealand - Wanaka to Queenstown
After our heavy workouts and uphill hike yesterday (Clocking in 22,000 steps), we enjoyed a much more leisurely day. We HAD to stop back at Pembroke Patisserie…it was just too good to skip….and it was so worth it! Mel got his favorite again, an almond croissant. Jody, a proud doughnut-aholic, had to try the salted caramel filled doughnut…she ate it so quickly, there were not photos opps!
(Jody smacking her lips! No doughnut left!)
Our trip was not complete without one more wine tasting, and headed to Rippon Winery. We had been forewarned that the place was beautiful, but the wines were better at Maude. We had to agree.
Gorgeous views, beautiful winery, just not our favorite wines. Very heavy on minerals.
Back to Queenstown where we have an incredible view of the water. Tomorrow, a boat ride on Shotover River, then meet our group!
